Fobmo Sheet 03 of 04 Partners Rev A
For installers, FM firms, building managers, integrators

Run the building's access on day one.
Hand it to the OC later.

Subscribe per building, from $19 a month including GST. We read your Inner Range panel overnight, keep the events past its rolling buffer, and archive the configuration encrypted every night. The $19 tier is self-serve: sign up, add the building, thirty days free. The $49 tier adds a fob storefront for the building and 75% of fob retail to you, and we set that one up with you.

Title Who Operate is for
Rev A

Four ways trade businesses use Operate.

If you have commercial interest in a building's electronic access, you're the reader. Pick the closest shape.

01 / Security installer

Security installer firm.

You program Inner Range Inception daily, sell fobs to residents by email or through a website that was never built for it, and keep building inventory in spreadsheets or in your head. Operate replaces the spreadsheet, gives the building a fob storefront on the $49 tier, and keeps every event the panel records from the night you connect it, before the Owners Corporation conversation even begins.

02 / FM firm

Facilities-management firm.

You operate buildings on behalf of owners and contract security separately. Operate gives you one register across your buildings: which credentials exist in which building, who holds each one, and what the doors recorded. You get that without becoming the access hardware specialist, because we read the panel and your installer keeps programming it.

03 / Building manager

Building-management company.

You're on-site every day, doing Owners Corporation liaison. Operate formalises the work you already do informally and gives you an audit trail for the day you hand the building over. The transition isn't a loss: the storefront and the archive continue, and your subscription on that building ends.

04 / Integrator

Multi-system integrator.

You install Inner Range alongside CCTV and comms. Operate is the recurring-revenue layer on top of the hardware you already put in, across a mixed portfolio. One commercial relationship, one bill, one event record.

The common shape: a trade business with a commercial interest in a building's electronic access, willing to pay $19 or $49 a building a month, GST included, to hold the event record, the nightly archive and the building's credential register from day one, before any Owners Corporation conversation begins.

Title Day-one value
Rev A

Three things that work from your first sync.

Pillar 01 / Archive

Your Inner Range events, kept past the buffer.

An Inception panel keeps a rolling buffer of events and then writes over the oldest ones. On a quiet building that is months. On a busy one it can be days. When the compliance question lands four months later, 'who entered the loading bay at 11pm on the 14th', the answer too often is that the buffer rolled over.

Operate polls the panel every night, in your building's own overnight window, and keeps what it collects. The panel keeps writing over its oldest entries; our copy doesn't. The gap is the red flag, not a rounding error.

The record starts when the building is onboarded. There is no backfill: whatever the panel had already written over before that night is gone before we can read it, and we would rather say so than let you find out in front of a client.

Pillar 02 / Storefront

A storefront for the building, and most of the margin.

On the $49 tier each building gets its own storefront page, with its own address, where residents order fobs and mobile credentials directly. You keep 75% of fob retail. Fobmo is the merchant of record: we take the payment, carry the chargeback risk, and settle with you monthly against a statement you can reconcile.

That is the difference between the two tiers. At $19 you get the record: the mirror, the archive, the events, the reconciliation. At $49 you also get the storefront and the revenue share.

The first storefront release is deliberately the smallest purchase flow that works. Cart, address validation, postage integration and your own branding come after we have real orders to design against, not before.

Pillar 03 / Inventory

The panel fills in your inventory, not you.

When the building is onboarded, Operate reads the credentials, the permission groups and the door access already configured on your Inception panel, and builds the building's register from that. No manual data entry, and no re-keying a spreadsheet you already maintain somewhere else. Every night after that, we read it again.

We only ever read the panel. Every call our client makes to your controller is a read, so nothing Fobmo does can change a permission, a schedule or a credential on it. Your installer keeps the write access, and keeps the responsibility that goes with it.

Title How it works
Rev A

One product. Two records that are the Owners Corporation's to state.

Operate is not a cut-down Govern. It is the same platform reading the same panel and keeping the same record. Two things wait for the Owners Corporation, and there is a reason for each.

Operate

You run the building's access, and you say so on your own authority.

You record the people, invite tenants and agents, link each credential to the person holding it, and load the building's lots. All of it is attributed to you, because you are the one asserting it, and the record says so.

Two things you cannot record in Operate
  • Who owns a lot. That comes from the Owners Corporation's records, not from anyone's assertion.
  • That the Owners Corporation authorised someone to hold a credential. That is the OC's blessing to give, and it is not yours or ours.
Govern

When the Owners Corporation subscribes, those two unlock.

Lot ownership starts coming from the Owners Corporation's own records. The OC's authorisation of each credential holder becomes recordable. The people you already entered are cross-referenced against the OC's records and their attribution is upgraded accordingly. Nothing you captured is overwritten or discarded: the OC layer is added on top of it.

It does not go backwards

If the Owners Corporation later unsubscribes, the building does not revert. Governance facts only ever get appended, and a credential the OC blessed cannot be un-blessed by deleting the record of it.

What this means when you hand a building over. Everything captured before the Owners Corporation subscribed came off the panel or off your word, and the record labels it that way. It is a real evidence base, and it is not a claim of Owners Corporation authority, because it never was. Say that plainly to the committee and it is a strength: you are handing them a clean record with its provenance already written down, rather than a pile of assertions nobody can source.

Title Pricing
Rev A

$19 or $49 per building per month.

Thirty days free on either tier. Priced per building, not per fob, not per resident, and not per door.

Tier What you get Price incl GST
Operate Nightly configuration mirror, encrypted nightly archive, your panel's backup files kept and listed, access events polled nightly and kept past the buffer, compliance reconciliation, the building's credential register, read-only sign-in for the OC manager and committee $19 / mo
Operate plus Storefront Earns its own fee Everything above, plus a fob storefront for the building and 75% of fob retail to you $49 / mo
How the fob revenue works

On the $49 tier, you keep 75% of fob retail. Fobmo is the merchant of record, so we take the payment and carry the chargeback risk, and we settle with you monthly against a statement.

When the Owners Corporation subscribes to Govern

Your fee on that building ends. You keep the storefront, the event record, the archive and the register, and you keep your 75% of fob retail through that storefront. At no cost.

The incentive lines up by construction. You pay to run the building. You invite the Owners Corporation manager in to read what is accumulating. They see the record, they subscribe to Govern at the tier price for their size, and your fee on that building stops while everything you built into it keeps running.

See Govern pricing in detail. Govern is $110 a month under 30 lots, $175 for 30 to 99, $250 for 100 to 299, and $350 at 300 lots or more.

What's shipping when.

Here is exactly what you can do yourself today and what still runs through us, so you can decide how to come in.

What works today, and what does not

  • Reading the panel, the nightly archive and the event record run in production now. That is the same machinery Govern buildings use, and Operate uses it unchanged.
  • Signing yourself up for the $19 tier is self-serve. You give us your name, your email and the building, confirm the email, and pay by card. Thirty days free before the first charge.
  • The fob storefront is the $49 tier and we open it building by building, with us in the loop. Talk to us and it is running in a day or two.
  • Handing a building to Govern is done with us in the loop today. Doing it yourself, from a screen, comes later.
  • Currencies other than Australian dollars are not supported, and neither is billing outside Australia.

So: sign up for the $19 tier and connect your first building yourself, or talk to us if you want the storefront, or if you would rather we onboarded your buildings by hand.

How the program pays you twice.

  1. You subscribe per building, at $19 or $49 a month including GST.

The building is connected and the panel fills in its own register. On the $49 tier the storefront goes live. From that night, the events are collected and the configuration is archived encrypted.

  2. You sell fobs through the building's storefront.

You keep 75% of fob retail. Fobmo is the merchant of record, takes the payment, and settles with you monthly against a statement you can check line by line.

  3. You invite the Owners Corporation manager in, read only.

They sign in and see the register, the audit trail and the event record accumulating. They can read everything and change nothing, which is exactly the position a manager wants to be in while they make up their mind.

  4. The Owners Corporation subscribes to Govern.

They have already seen what is running, what is documented and what is kept. They come on at the price for their building's size, $110 to $350 a month, and we onboard them by hand as we do every Govern building.

  5. Your fee on that building ends. You keep everything else, at no cost.

The storefront keeps running and you keep your 75% on every fob sold through it. The event record keeps growing. The nightly reads keep happening. Everything you were recording, you still record. Every capability you were paying for, you now have for nothing, for as long as the building runs on Govern.

The incentive lines up by construction. You pay to run a building in Operate. When the Owners Corporation subscribes to Govern your fee ends, but the fob revenue, the record, the nightly reads and the whole operational surface do not. We don't pay you a commission on the Govern subscription itself, because that is the Owners Corporation's relationship with us and we would rather not pretend otherwise. Everything you built into the building stays yours to run, at no cost.

Owners Corporation? If you're a committee member, an Owners Corporation manager, or a strata professional looking at Fobmo on behalf of your buildings, Govern is your destination, not Operate. It is available now.
